Overview
Architected and delivered a comprehensive healthcare management platform for therapy clinics, managing patient lifecycles from referral through treatment delivery. Implemented a microservices architecture handling 1000+ daily transactions across patient management, insurance verification, payment processing and real-time notifications.
Challenge
Healthcare clinics faced critical operational challenges: manual patient intake causing 15% data-entry errors, a 30% appointment no-show rate, insurance claim delays averaging 45 days, and disconnected systems requiring duplicate data entry.
Solution
Designed a cloud-native architecture on AWS RDS (PostgreSQL), S3, Cognito, DynamoDB and ElastiCache (Redis). Implemented a microservices pattern with 15+ RESTful API modules, Prisma ORM for type-safe database operations, and multi-tier security with JWT authentication and RBAC.
